Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao are friends who run a fast food business together in Barcelona. However, they both get involved with a prostitute (Lola Forner) after saving her from an angry client. Meanwhile private detective Sammo Hung is hired by a rich butler to find the count's daughter.

Sammo Hung is the tuba player in the police band who becomes instantly infatuated with Joan (Joey Wong). To woo her he seeks help from his dead friend (David Chiang). However, he will not help Sammo unless he avenges his death by taking on a gang of hoods (led by Wong Jang Lee).

Jackie Chan is a member of a crack army swat team sent to Africa. However, on completion of the mission the teams helicopter crashes and everyone but Jackie dies. Despite surviving Jackie has lost his memory and is adopted by an African tribe. One day he saves a man and finds his way back to civilization.

In the Hong Kong of the future, two policeman (Jacky Cheung and Leon Lai) are assigned to the anti-rapter squad. Rapters are ferociously predatory aliens able to take human form. As of late, some raptors have been dealing a drug called Happiness, which has the unfortunate side-effect of killing the user.

Michelle Yeoh plays Yim Wing Chun. In a plotline similar to Jet Li's 'Fong Sai Yuk' Yeoh dresses as a man and becomes instantly unrecognisable as a woman (yeah - right!) Yeoh rescues a young girl from selling herself and invites her to work at her families bean curd shack. From here on suitors line up for a look at the new recruit.
