In the
Hong Kong of the future, two policeman (Jacky Cheung and Leon Lai)
are assigned to the anti-rapter squad. Rapters are ferociously predatory
aliens able to take human form. As of late, some raptors have been
dealing a drug called Happiness, which has the unfortunate side-effect
of killing the user. Matters become more complicated when it is
revealed that Cheung is actually half rapter, while Lai is in love
with one (Michelle Reis).
This is quite unusual for a Hong Kong film as it is a science fiction
film. This is not usually a popular genre but here is given the
treatment by producer Tsui Hark.
