This hour and a half documentary focuses on the recent addition of the category three movie into Hong Kong cinema. Basically, these films contain all of the usual Hong Kong trademarks but at the same time push the barriers of what is allowed with sex and violence to the absolute limit. This particular documentary seems to focus more heavily on the sex scenes and seems to basically show every sex scene from 'Sex and Zen' and the 'Erotic Ghost Story' trilogy there is. From the beginning it is obvious that as little money has been spent here as possible with a shrill Chinese narrator laughing and joking about sex in the movies. Some library footage is shown of fireworks and space rockets (no guesses for guessing what this is symbolic of), and that's about it. The audience is then shown an hour and a half of non-stop sex scenes.

These are all quite imaginative but if you have seen the films in which they come from there is no need to sit through this over-long documentary where nothing is said of any interest. In my opinion you are better off watching the films in which the clips come from. To start with this will make more sense. The one redeeming feature of this documentary is the film clips themselves. All of them are clearly big budget productions and the clips show off the cinematography to its best. However, my advice is to buy the original films then at least you can find out the reason why all of these people ended up sleeping together!
